Hello, I'm Brenda and I'm one of the first friendly faces you'll see when you come into the office. I greet patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, and take care of patient accounts..

My husband of 36 years, Jim, and I have three sons, three grandsons, and three granddaughters we love to spend time with. I also love to garden, grow flowers, and spend quality time with my family.

Front Office Staff

Hi, I'm Becky and I work in the front office, answering phones, handling insurance, and welcoming our patients to their appointments. I have always enjoyed helping people and working in the orthodontic field lets me do that with a smile! Dr. Rick is very passionate about what he does and achieves great results.

When I'm not in the office I enjoy gardening, knitting, watching movies, and going on long walks.

Dental Hygienist

Hello, I'm Cindy I work at the front desk, making appointments, answering the phone and helping Dr. Rick with consultations. I am very proud of the work that Dr. Burns and the staff do, and I do everything I can to make sure that their day runs smoothly.

I am married to Dr. Rick Burns, and in my free time I enjoy traveling, playing tennis, running, reading, and cooking. I am on the board at the Samaritan Center and I participate in Progress Club.

Orthodontic Assistant

I assist Dr. Rick with treating patients, ordering supplies, and meeting with sales reps. I also send out and track all lab cases. I enjoy working in such a fun environment with great people and great attitudes. It makes coming to work every day a pleasure.

I am married to my husband, Matt, and we have two children, Madeline and Benjamin. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, reading, and being outdoors.

Orthodontic Assistant

Hi, I'm Nicole and as an orthodontic assistant, I get to work directly with patients and get to know them very well. I love that each day in the office is different and I never know what is going to happen.  I've been working with Dr. Rick for eight years and I love that he gives consistent care to each of his patients.

I have a beautiful son named Kaleb. I am a member of SAKAL Ministries as their youth leader and spend as much time with my family as I can.

Orthodontic Assistant

I assist Dr. Rick in the care of our patients and their appliances, as well as noting the progression of treatment. I love our patients; they're the best part of my job! I always feel a sense of humor is the best way to get to know people.  I have learned so much from the nearly six years I've worked here and every day presents me with new challenges.

My husband's name is Sean and we have a baby named Delani. We also have two dogs, Thaddeus and Lizzie. I am a self-proclaimed movie geek and book nerd!

Chairside Assistant

I am one of Dr. Burns' chairside assistants, and work to help put braces on, change wires, take X-rays and photographs, and bond loose brackets. I love getting to know our patients on a personal level, and watching as they progress throughout their treatments with confidence. Working with Dr. Rick is great. He is so in-tune with his patients, and he genuinely cares about their  interests and goals. Dr. Rick is fun too; he's a big kid at heart!

I am a single mom, with two grown daughters. My oldest daughter, Amanda, lives in Chicago and is attending graduate school. My youngest daughter, Hillary, lives in Mishawaka, and is attending Indiana University South Bend (UISB). When I'm not at the practice, I love being outdoors, hiking and camping. I also enjoy spending time walking my two dogs, Mango and Zoie.

Cherie

Orthodontic Lab Tech

I have worked for Dr. Rick for just over a year in the lab.  I graduated from IPFW in 1987 with a degree in Dental Lab Technician.  I have worked in the orthodontic field for almost 20 years and I love lab work. 

I have 3 fantastic kids - Emily, Allison and Jake, and a weiner dog named Roxy.  When I am not making retainers or pouring orthodontic models, I like to spend time at the lake, travel, and watch my kids sporting events.

Digital Photo Tech

I get to take all the record and debanding photos for our patients. I work behind the scenes, delivering the digital needs for the team, so I am not a face you will see in the office, but I love when I see the photos of a patient's new smile. It is a pleasure to work with a team who always strives for high standards in caring for our patients' orthodontic needs. Currently my oldest son is a patient, and I know he is getting the best smile available in town.

My husband's name is Brian and we have two sons, Tyler and Carter. Outside of the office I love spending time with my husband and sons. I also enjoy taking pictures and working with special needs children at a local elementary school.
